History
Common Resources II, L.L.C. is the successor entity to Common Resources, L.L.C. which in two (2) separate transactions, divested itself of all its Eagle Ford Shale assets and conveyed all Haynesville Shale assets with the interests in the L.L.C. in May of 2010, some 2 ½ years since opening its doors in October of 2007. About Common Resources II
Common Resources II is a Houston based exploration, exploitation and production entity. Common II considers itself a “Re-Start” rather than a “Start-Up” inasmuch as the investor group in Common and Common II are very similar, as well as the Board, the Management Team and the employee group. Common II will be led by Thomas H. Jones (President and CEO) and Jose E. Nevarez (Executive Vice President). Former President and CEO, Roger L. Jarvis, will serve as a Non-Executive Chairman of the Board and Elliott Pew, former COO, will serve on the Board.
Investment
Investors in Common II include Encap Investments, Pine Brook Road Partners, Legacy Management Investors and Principal Management Investors.
The current total of committed investment is just over $400 Million.
Approach
Common II will continue to identify and acquire positions in emerging trends, both conventional and non-conventional, that lend themselves to scalability and repeatability through horizontal development and production applications. Common II will look for opportunities in proven basins in Texas, Louisiana and the Mid-Continent with such upside. We will continue to be in the forefront of technologies including geophysical, geological, drilling and completion.
Culture and People
Common was very successful in attracting and retaining highly experienced, skilled, motivated and achievement oriented people into its organization. Common II has retained the majority of this proven staff. All Common II employees, just as in Common, are substantial equity owners with large personal stakes in the outcome and ultimate success of Common II
